ISO 9001 Introduction and Overview
This book is the first
step in understanding ISO 9001:2000. It is to be used as a
supplement to other ISO 9001:2000 training courses, such
as internal auditing.
The ISO 9001:2000 standard is translated into easy to
understand everyday words and grammar. We were not concerned
with the use of proper grammar as we were about getting the
point across. If this bothers you, we are sorry. Each clause is
discussed and the primary requirements are explained.
The standard is centered on the process approach. This approach
is explained and an illustration given.
The eight principles of Quality Management are discussed. These
principles are the basis of the standard and guided the
development and format of ISO 9001:2000.
The interpretations given here are the most commonly accepted
ones. However, organizations and individuals may interpret some
clauses of the standard differently. You should contact your
ISO Management Representative for clarification of any
discussion presented in the book that differs from your
organization’s practices.

Your ISO 9001 Overview/Introduction ebook is a big
help in training our folks on what ISO 9001 is
really about. It is also a good reference book for
our auditors when they need to understand what the
standard actually means. It is by far the best
bargain I've found hands down. |
